According to Oak Lawn Police, a car caught on fire Monday afternoon just outside of a parking lot on 95th Street. No injuries were reported.
At about 2:30 p.m., Kelvin Pickens was about to turn east to exit the Home Depot parking lot at 4060 W. 95th St. and his 1993 Dodge Dakota caught fire.
"It might have sprung a leak and ignited," the Homewood resident said, then he saw smoke coming from his hood and got out of his car to call 9-1-1.

"I didn't want to let the hood up because the wind would spread the flames," Pickens said.
After calling local authorities, Pickens said the fire department assisted immediately and watered down the blaze. His car had total damage, he said.
