Cortrell Rush, 20, of 102nd and Pulaski in Oak Lawn, was arrested by police at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday December 4, in a gangway at 3812 West 68th Place, several doors away from the home he allegedly burglarized. He is set to answer charges in Cook County Circuit Court Branch 48-4, 155 West 51st Street, on Wednesday, December 11.

I pay $8K per year in real estate taxes to live near these run down apartments. The village needs to keep after these landlords to keep the apartments updated and in presentable condition. This has nothing to do with race. It has to do with having respectable tenants, black, white, brown, or mixed, that want to live in a decent neighborhood. Kudos to past mayors for having brought all these apartments to Oak Lawn. They built a ridiculous bronze edifice to one of the past inept mayors. If things don't change I'm out of here. I like diverse areas but with respectable people of all races.
