TUESDAY, AUGUST 7

Theft

A registration sticker was removed from a 2003 Dodge Carryall parked in the 9700 South Parkside Avenue.

Criminal Damage

A sliding glass door was shattered in an apartment in the 9400 block of South 51st Avenue. Estimated damage was $1,000.

Burglary

A purse containing medication, makeup and hearing aid batteries was stolen from a 2004 Hyundai utility vehicle parked in the 8700 block of South Ridgeland Avenue.

Burglary

Hand tools valued at $150 were stolen from a 2001 Ford van parked in the 9200 block of Keating Avenue. Entry was gained by damaging the rear cargo door lock.

Burglary 

An iPod nano, plus spare house and garage keys were stolen from an unlocked 2006 Dodge Caravan parked in front of a home in the 10000 block of South Merrimac Avenue.

Burglary

A GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked 2005 Chevrolet utility vehicle parked in the 8700 block of South 55th Avenue.Estimated loss was $100.

Burglary

Car accessories and a purse were stolen from a 2006 Chevrolet parked in the 5700 block of South 55th Avenue. Entry was gained by smashing the driver's side window. Estimated loss and damage were $400.

Theft

Car batteries, battery cables and a wiring harness were stolen from a Comcast power supply box in the 10400 block of South Austin Avenue. Estimated loss was $700.
