When I was younger, I hung out at a school often times, played football in the fields there, baseball off the wall...used the playground equipment...Pat F, you have NO idea who did this, let alone just jump to it being a student of the school, or even a student of any achool anywhere...the police were probably right...most kids aren't doing anything wrong...your knee-jerk mentality of prejudice is off-putting to say the least.

Hey Pat F......ya ding dong.....the kids aren't in school right now so your comment makes no sense whatsoever! and it is not the school's responsibility to keep things safe in a park during non-school hours....it is the job of the oak lawn police department.

What I would like to know is why 20 or more kids that do not live in the neighborhood are playing basketball near the little kids park on 107th and Laramie? There are so many things happening these days how could you blame one for being a bit worried that something could very well happen. We don't live here and pay high taxes for out of the neighborhood people to come here and case the homes.

i have been saying for the last couple of years to take down the nets, most oak lawn kids have their own nets in their driveways, we do not need them . i know someone who actually followed a group to see where they came from , and followed them to st bede neighborhood . i wrote and called the village, and it kept getting passed down to the next guy . so the nets are still up , so drive by and check out what it attracts . GET RID OF THE NETS !!!!
