One Injured in Car Crash Between Mini-Van and Station Wagon

A two-car accident causes traffic headache at Cicero Avenue and Southwest Highway on Sunday. A passenger in the mini-van, believed to be a child, was taken away with minor injuries.

A car accident at Cicero Avenue and Southwest Highway around 5 p.m. Sunday stopped traffic temporarily at the busy intersection.

The driver of a green stationwagon said that he and the driver of a mini-van were both trying to turn on a yellow light. The driver in the green stationwagon thought the other driver would stop.

The mini-van had several children inside. One child was taken away from the scene with minor injuries.

Police were still working at the crash site at 5:30 p.m., although traffic was crawling through the intersection.
