Guys Punch Car

A 19-year-old man said he was leaving Chase Bank at 5705 W. 95th St. around 10:46 a.m. when two men approached him outside. Both were wearing hoodies and came around the east side of the bank and said, “what’s up, buddy?” Police said one of the men had his hood over his head and concealed his face with a white bandanna. As the 19-year-old locked his doors and started his car, the man with the bandanna over his face punched his car twice. Police said the 19-year-old did not see any weapons and there was no damage to his car. Neither man demanded the money that the 19-year-old just withdrawn from the ATM. Witnesses inside the bank corroborated the 19-year-old’s story. Police said the two men were last seen walking westbound on foot to Massasoit where their car was parked.

Peddling Without A License

Police were dispatched to the 5100 block of West Tomcin Trail in response to a solicitor going door to door around 7:33 p.m. When police arrived, they saw a woman walking with a clipboard in her hand and wearing a jacket with the name of an energy company on the back. Police said the alleged peddler could not produce the required village permit and told police she didn’t have one. She said her company had applied for one but hadn’t received it yet, reports said. She was issued a citation for soliciting without a license or permit. She was told not to come back to Oak Lawn until she had a permit.
