Police say people were screaming, fighting and running in all directions when they arrived.

were dispatched to Hooters for a large fight in progress in the parking lot on Dec. 27.

When police arrived around 11:40 p.m., people were screaming, fighting and running in all directions. Patrick Walker, 20, was lying on the ground as Sheilia Ross, 48, stood over Walker repeatedly striking him, police said.

Ross told police that she was punched in the face and “I needed to defend myself. That’s when police showed up and put us all in handcuffs,” police said.

The manager of Hooters signed complaints for disorderly conduct for the seven people in police custody.

Police determined that Walker, of Chicago, was the alleged aggressor and he was charged with an additional count of battery. He is due in court on Feb. 23 at the Bridgeview Court House.

Those charged with disorderly conduct are:

  • Sheilia Ross, 48, of Chicago
  • Dominique L. Gaddis, 19, of Calumet Park
  • Armantia B. Curtis, 23, of Chicago
  • Quintin M. Watson, 26, of Chicago
  • Diontay Causey, 23, of Chicago
  • Diec D Balark, 18, of Chicago

They are also due in court on Feb. 23. Police said they found a pipe at the scene but are still unsure if this was part of the fighting. Several other “combatants” fled the parking lot before responding officers could secure the scene.
