POLICE BLOTTER: Chuck E. Cheese's Flash Mob, Public Indecency

Oak Lawn police reports, Feb. 2 through Feb. 8.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 8

‘My Pants Are Up, Sir’

A 25-year-old Oak Lawn man was charged with public indecency when he was spotted urinating behind a bar in the 9700 block of South Cicero Avenue. Officers observed Michal A. Weyer around 12:12 a.m. relieving himself next to a Dumpster in full view of the public and patrons exiting the pub, police said. The officer illuminated Weyer with the spotlight on the squad car and told him “to wrap it up and fasten his pants,” reports said. Weyer allegedly stated, “My pants are up, sir,” and continued to urinate ignoring the police officer’s commands. He was issued a ticket for public indecency and given a hearing date of March 6 at Village Hall.

Flash Mob Disrupts Chuck E. Cheese’s

Police were called to disperse 40 teens from Chuck E. Cheese’s at 4031 W. 95th St. around 7 p.m. The manager said the group of mostly juveniles started small and quickly grew to 40. Police said the teens were being loud, flashing gang signs at each other, and bothering other customers. When the group refused to leave, the manager called police. The manager did not want to press charges, so police escorted the teens off the premises. Police said the teens disrupted traffic as they crossed 95th Street and boarded a Pace bus. When they got on the bus, the driver said she heard a loud crack and saw glass from a broken window on the floor. She was unable to identify the culprit. Police stopped a car as it was leaving the parking lot. One of the car’s occupants said the disturbance was a planned flash mob event arranged through Facebook. The group was going to meet at Chuck E. Cheese’s to “hang out.” There were no arrests.
