‘Smoke You All’

Police responded to a disturbance in the pediatric emergency waiting room at Advocate Christ Medical Center at 4440 W. 95th St. around 10:18 p.m. When police arrived, hospital public safety officers were holding Jason C. Kent, 27, of Burbank, who allegedly started a disturbance after a nurse accidentally struck his child with a cart. Kent began to yell and swear at the nurse when public safety officers were called to the area, reports said. Police said that Kent claimed he was a member of a street gang and got into a public safety officer’s face saying he was going to call his boys and they would come up to the hospital and “smoke you all.” Kent was taken into custody by police and charged with disorderly conduct. Kent has a court appearance on Jan. 10.

Police report information is provided by the Oak Lawn Police Department and other law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. If you or a family member are charged or cited and the case is subsequently adjudicated, we encourage you to notify the editor. We will verify and report the outcome.
