Police Search for Man, 70, Missing from Burbank -- UPDATED

Anyone with information is asked to contact Burbank Police.

Salvador Quintanilla, 70, was found approximately twelve hours after he went missing at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Thanks to the power of social media, community members and public service works kept a watchful eye for Sal, who was found in a restaurant.

"The Burbank Beat with like to acknowledge all who aided the search for the missing elderly man yesterday. Within an hour, our first post had been shared over 80 times and viewed by over 3,000. Dozens of comments indicated residents were actively searching for the lost man. Couple that with the outreach of surrounding communities through Oak Lawn Patch and Southwest Chicago Post and there must have been huge number of people keeping a look out for this endangered soul. You showed the positive power that social media can have on the community. Kudos to the Burbank Illinois Police Department for their hard work and a happy ending. Thanks to all, you guys rock!"

Original story -- An elderly Burbank man with dementia went missing Tuesday morning and police are desperately trying to locate him. 

Salvador Quintanilla, 70, was last seen leaving his home at 83rd and Laramie around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. He is described as approximately 5-foot-8, 155 pounds, wearing a dark-colored jacket, grey gym shoes and blue pants. 
Quintanilla has arthritis in his legs and walks with a shuffle. He speaks Spanish but does understand a little English. 

Salvador might be en route to visit family in Cicero; however, family has not seen him since he was reported as missing.
