Search On for Suspect Who Robbed Oak Lawn Bank

Robber knocks off TCF bank branch inside of Jewel, cops say.

The FBI is searching for a man who robbed a bank located inside an Oak Lawn supermarket on Tuesday morning.

At approximately 10:21 a.m., a male black in his mid-20s walked up to the TCF Bank branch located inside the Jewel Food Store at 8801 S. Ridgeland Avenue.

Oak Lawn police said the robber passed a note to a bank employee demanding money in what is being described as a “non-takeover” bank robbery. No weapon was displayed.
