Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Effect for Local Area

National Weather Service says storms should move through Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park and Beverly-Mt. Greenwood area around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park and Beverly-Mt. Greenwood area.

A line of severe storms is moving northeast at 45mph and is expected to hit the local area around 10:45 p.m. Monday.

The storm is capable of producing 60mph wind gusts potentially damaging trees, roofs and siding.

The warning is in effect until 11 p.m.

  NAPERVILLE AND ROMEOVILLE AROUND 1005 PM CDT.
  WOODRIDGE AND LEMONT AROUND 1010 PM CDT.
  WHEATON AND LISLE AROUND 1015 PM CDT.
  YORK CENTER AND LOMBARD AROUND 1020 PM CDT.
  VILLA PARK AND ADDISON AROUND 1025 PM CDT.
  NORTHLAKE AND ELMHURST AROUND 1030 PM CDT.

OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE GLENBARD SOUTH...
WILLOWBROOK...OAKBROOK TERRACE...BRIDGEVIEW...MCCOOK...LA GRANGE
PARK...BROADVIEW...BERKELEY...HOMETOWN AND RIVER GROVE.

THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF CHICAGO.
