Speaking on behalf of his fellow board members, Olejniczak congratulated Trautsch. Trustee Tom Phelan (Dist. 6) did not attend Tuesday’s meeting because of an accident involving his young son.

“He didn’t not want being at the meeting to delay getting a trustee to fill that vacant position,” Olejniczak said. “He, too, would have voted [for Trautsch], so it’s a unanimous decision by the board.”
