Park administrators draw the highest salaries, followed by the next tier of ten which range from $40,000 to $57,000. These employees are charged with supervising special recreation programs ($40,593), safety coordinator ($46,010), and executive assistant ($53,403).
Clark said that Oak Lawn Park District employees are making below what other park districts offer.
“People with master’s degrees are making well under the industry standard,” Clark said. “It’s frustrating but we love what we do and the people we’re working with.”
