Peace Dance Company Puts on an Amazing Performance

Burbank, IL –March 4, 2014 – The Peace Dance Company finished its season last weekend with a 3 day weekend performance. We had a record breaking turnout and the dancers were in peak performance. The show opened with a 2014 opening mix which included songs by One Republic, Karmen, Alex Gaudino, Pitbull and more. The opening number was followed by 13 other dances in the first act. The second act included 15 numbers followed by the finale danced to Rock this Party (Everybody Dance Now) Remix.

The dance numbers were choreographed by Ms. Catherine Klod the dance director, Ms. Carmen Beltran the assistant dance director, as well as a number of dance students including Kieara Beecham, Jasmine Escobedo, Paloma Flores, Marnee Fuertes, Julia Galvin, Sol Granados, Sadie Haywood, Nina Izzo, Danielle Koch, Haylee Kosch, Symone McKeiver, Gabby Nowobilski, Amanda Ramos, Hannah Rizzo, Jenny Sandoval, Dijonnais Thomas and Catherine Zamolewicz. One of our alum, Tiffani Monreal, also came back to help with practices and performances and was a special choreographer.

The girls were nervous before their performances but once the show started the adrenaline kicked in and they performed some amazing dances. At the end of the show on Sunday, awards were handed out to various dance members. One of the most emotional moments was when the seniors expressed their gratitude to the dance director and assistant director tearing up as they realized this was their final performance for the school.

“One of the things I am most proud of is how the girls really challenged themselves to create innovative and unique routines. Cancelled practices due to weather added stress to our season, but the girls really worked hard to perfect their routines. In the end, the show was a tremendous success because of their hard work and dedication,” said dance director Catherine Klod.
