Queen of Peace “adopts” Families for the Holidays

Burbank, IL –December 23, 2013 – This year, the Queen of Peace community "adopted" 8 families from the St. James community. Homerooms teamed up to bring in food items for a holiday meal along with gifts and everyday essentials for each family member. Items included toys the kids requested, jackets, scarves, gloves, as well as food for a full meal and everyday items like laundry detergent, toilet paper, and diapers.

In addition, families were adopted by a group of our faculty and staff as well as another family by our Parent Club. As part of every families holiday meal they were provided a turkey so their holiday meal would be complete. The Queen of Peace community feels fortunate and blessed to be able to assist families and make their Christmas and Holidays a little more special.
