Queen of Peace Introduces a New and Improved Fitness Center
Burbank, IL – January 29, 2014 – Queen of Peace has re-opened their new and improved fitness center. Over $10,000 of equipment was generously donated by the Women’s Workout World in Hometown and Downers Grove. The new equipment includes 3 new treadmills, 3 elliptical’s, 8 pieces of strength machine equipment, a rack of weights and an AED. “Queen of Peace is very excited that Women’s Workout World was so generous in their equipment donation. It’s a great thing when a business helps a school in their community,” said Anne Malone, Assistant Athletic director.
The fitness center is open to athletes, faculty and students. There are also classes that use the fitness center daily.
The AED that was donated increases the presence of life saving equipment in the school building. Mrs. Anne Malone’s fitness classes were certified earlier this year in CPR and AED.

The updated fitness center arrived at the perfect time as many of the faculty and staff members are involved in a biggest loser challenge. Members taking part in the challenge are looking to improve their fitness and overall health which makes the new equipment a nice perk.
