Meet Dr. Bury at the Johnson-Phelps VFW on Thursday, March 21st!
The Candidate Forum for March 21st has been cancelled, but at least one candidate for Mayor would like to discuss issues.
Dr. Bury is running for Mayor in Oak Lawn's April 9th Election. She feels that resident's shouldn't have to pay to go to a fundraiser to meet a candidate running for office.
Since the Candidate Forum for March 21st has been cancelled, Dr. Bury would like to provide interested residents with an opportunity to meet her and have their questions answered. She will be in the lounge of Oak Lawn's Johnson-Phelps VFW Post 5220 on Thursday, March 21st from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
This is the third of several FREE “Meet the Candidate” events that Dr. Bury is hosting before the election. Dr. Bury feels that democracy works best when voters are informed and understand the issues.

Dr. Bury still hopes for and supports a Candidate Forum, but with every day that goes by, it is looking less and less likely. Mayor Heilmann declined participation on the scheduled March 21st Candidate Forum because he preferred to attend a fundraiser.
