Candlelight Bowl for Bolivia

Thirteen members of the Oak Lawn Community High School Cross Countries organization are hosting a Candlelight Bowl next month to benefit the people of Bolivia.

All proceeds from this event will go toward helping a group of Oak Lawn students fund a service trip to Bolivia in July 2012.

The Candlelight Bowl will take place on Friday, Nov. 12 from 9 p.m. to midnight at Brunswick Zone of Oak Lawn, 4700 W. 103rd St.  The evening will consist of a short program and dinner, bowling, raffles and plenty of fun!

In order to reach their financial goal of $50,000, these 13 students are continuing the legacy started by their teammates nearly six years ago.  They have come together to promote the need for aid in Bolivia.  To further their cause, these young men have re-formed a service group known as Cross Countries, which will focus its efforts on supporting the people of Bolivia.

This Candlelight Bowl marks the group's first fundraising effort.  With the support of the community, these student-athletes hope to raise $6,000 from the event.
