Look Good, Feel Better

A free workshop, provided by certified/trained cosmetologists, teaches female cancer patients hands-on cosmetic techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Women learn about makeup techniques, skin care, nail care and options related to hair loss, such as wigs, turbans and scarves. The program, offered at the Advocate Christ Center for Breast Care in partnership with the American Cancer Society, the National Cosmetology Association, and the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA) Foundation. The next workshop will be held on Wednesday,
February 15,
from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Advocate Christ Center for Breast Care, 4545 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn.  Registration is required. Code: 1C17
