Oh my aching shoulder

James Moravek, Jr., M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon with MidAmerica Hand to Shoulder Clinic, will present an educational program on shoulder arthritis from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at , 4440 W. 95th St, Oak Lawn. The program takes place at the Lower Level Conference Center, Room 0629 A and B.

Dr. Moravek will discuss facts about arthritis of the shoulder. Questions he will answer include:

•    What are the symptoms of arthritis of the shoulder?
•    Who gets arthritis in the shoulder?
•    When is it time to ask doctor for help?
•    How is it diagnosed?
•    What are the current treatment options?

Dr. Moravek is fellowship trained in shoulder and elbow surgery. He is the author of multiple articles on these topics for professional publications.

He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. During his residency and fellowship, Dr. Moravek conducted numerous research projects on the shoulder, and he was a visiting physician at the University of Ghana Medical College.

The Popeye's in Burbank has a hand sanitizer installed behind the counter, but honestly, the employees hardly ever use it, which is why, after a horrible experience at that location last July, I have not patronized ANY Popeye's since!!!
