The Relay for Life event is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity.  It offers everyone in the community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. The purpose is to raise funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer prevention and treatment.  Loved ones who lost their lives to cancer are celebrated at the event, and survivors are honored at the Relay for Life opening ceremony on Saturday, May 14.

According to Jennifer Wargin, teacher and staff adviser, OLCHS has hosted a Relay for Life event for the past eight years and the school has raised more than $500,000 for the American Cancer Society.
