RE/MAX Metro Chicago Real Estate Network's Hot Air Balloon to Visit SW Chicago Christian School in Oak Lawn on May 9

The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will visit Southwest Chicago Christian School, 10110 S. Central Ave., in Oak Lawn, Ill., on May 9, where the balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network.

In the audience will be the 150 students at Southwest Chicago Christian, as well as invited guests, all of whom will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions.  The RE/MAX balloon is expected to visit more than 50 schools this year in northern Illinois.

The program will be presented at 7 p.m. outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting, but can be moved indoors if required.  The balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height if the program is held outdoors.  If the program needs to be moved indoors, the envelope is inflated with cold air so that students can walk inside it as part of the presentation.
