Oak Lawn Schools, Organizations Cancel Activities Due to Weather

Weather cancellations and updates for Oak Lawn schools, organizations and offices due to Tuesday's snowstorm.

Oak Lawn schools and organizations are canceling activities, classes, sports practices and games due to Tuesday’s snowstorm.

All cancellations apply for Tuesday, Feb. 26:

  • Dist. 123 schools including OLHMS, Kolmar, Sward, Covington, Hannum and Hometown, are canceling all afterschool activities. The FLASH program is proceeding on its regular schedule.
  • Dist. 122 schools including Simmons Middle School, Harnew, Columbus-Manner, Kolb and Lieb, have canceled all afterschool activities. The FLASH program is proceeding on its regular schedule.
  • Richards High School has canceled all afterschool activities and sports practices EXCEPT for tonight’s scheduled basketball game at Richards. LATE START for all of D218 at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
  • Oak Lawn Community High School says all afterschool activities and team practices will PROCEED as scheduled. Tuesday’s scheduled girls track meet at Lyons Township High School has been CANCELED. Regularly scheduled LATE START for D229 at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday.
  • St. Gerald’s School has CANCELED all act
  • Oak Lawn Park Dist. dance classes scheduled for Tuesday have been CANCELED.
  • Dist. 117 schools have CANCELED all afterschool activities.

As far as we know, the Oak Lawn Village Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. is proceeding as planned.
