Athlete of the Week: Oak Lawn's Arias Rewards Her Teammates
Lady Spartans center midfielder Bianca Arias had three assists last week.
As a center midfielder looking to set up her teammates for scoring opportunities, Oak Lawn junior Bianca Arias has a good attitude.
“We support each other,” Arias said of her teammates. “We push each other to do better.”
With her three assists this past week, Arias has been named Patch’s Athlete of the Week.

In the Spartans’ shootout loss to T.F. United on Tuesday, Arias had two assists as the game was tied 2-2 before the shootout. In Oak Lawn’s 2-0 win over Richards on Thursday, Arias found junior Kinga Gil, who promptly scored in the top-right corner of the goal.
Oak Lawn is 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the South Suburban Conference.
