Bulldogs shortstop Joe Lyons made an adjustment to his batting stance and enjoyed immediate benefits.

Sometimes it’s the minor adjustments that make all the difference.

Joe Lyons, a senior shortstop at Richards, changed his batting stance in the middle of last week, and he already has been reaping the benefits. Before the Bulldogs’ game against Oak Forest on Thursday, Lyons opened up his front leg a little bit so he could see the pitcher better.

“It’s been working out for me, so I’m going to stay that way,” Lyons said. “Hopefully I’ll end up hitting really well this year.”
