Brother Rice, Mother McAuley Announce Mission Madness

The Brother Rice and Mother McAuley Student Councils are sponsoring a "Mission Madness" basketball tournament on Saturday, March 12, starting at noon at Brother Rice.

Coed teams from Brother Rice and Mother McAuley High Schools will compete against each other to support various charities.

Students who wish to enter a team should pick up permission forms and rosters from Ms. Pacetti at Brother Rice and Ms. Novosel at Mother McAuley.

Charities being supported include:  100 Club, ACC Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, ALS Association, Barb's Battle, Edmund Rice Camp, Kevin Dowling Scholarship Fund, Maeve McNicholas Foundation, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Misercordia, Oak Lawn 9/11 Monument, Park Lawn, PAWS, Salvation Army, St. Baldrick's, St. Martin's Shelter, Special Olympics, Tobar's Triumph, and UNICEF.  Winning teams will receive prizes of monetary donations to their charities.

A St. Baldrick's head-shaving station will be featured at this event.  St. Baldrick's participants are asked to register online at www.StBaldricks.org prior to the shave day.  Also, participation agreements must be presented before your head can be shaved.  Donations can be made online, mailed directly to St. Baldrick's Foundation, or dropped off at Brother Rice on the March 12 shave day.

A donation of $3 for adults and $1 for students will be collected at the door; this door donation will be split among all the charities represented at the tournament.
