SXU Hosts Turkey Shoot – Family Style Free-Throw Contest

Saint Xavier University will host its second annual "Turkey Shoot – Family Style" free-throw contest from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Chicago campus' Shannon Center, 3700 W. 103rd St.

Teams may register starting at 6 p.m. at the door. The cost is $5 per team. Teams must include at least one parent/guardian 18 years old or older and compete with a child in one of the following age categories: 2nd grade and under; 3rd and 4th grade; 5th and 6th grade; 7th and 8th grade; high school and older. Individuals may compete on more than one team, but each team may only compete once.

First place winners in each category will receive a Thanksgiving turkey and second place winners will receive a Bakers Square gift certificate. Attendees also can win raffle prizes, including Pizza Man and Brunswick Zone gift certificates, plus meet SXU men's and women's basketball players and receive free tickets to home basketball games.
