Gimme 5: Tobin a Big Part of Richards' Incredible Season
Bulldogs' senior Kailie Tobin has plans to attend Butler next year, but she is undecided on whether she will play softball on the collegiate level.
Playoffs start for the Richards softball team today. And despite a 3-1 eight-inning setback to Antioch on Saturday, the Bulldogs (28-1) are anticipating making a run, bouncing back from their first loss in short order.
Senior pitcher and outfielder Kailie Tobin has been a standout on the team.
Tobin will attend Butler University next year. She is undecided if she will play softball. She might try to make the Butler team as a walk-on. But, as a double major in education and math, she is concerned that her workload will be too great to play a sport on the collegiate level.

If she doesn’t play, she will miss softball.
“Just to be able to compete is definitely my favorite,” Tobin said. “I’m very competitive and I love the game.”
