Mother McAuley Student-Athletes Make College Commitments

McAuley athletes will play water polo, softball and run track in college.

Three Mother McAuley seniors recently committed to play their respective sports in college. Rachal Brooks has signed to run track at Saint Xavier University, Clare Bryar will play water polo at Siena College in New York and Brianna Gyrion will play softball at William Penn University in Iowa.

Rachal Brooks has run track at Mother McAuley since freshman year and qualified for the state tournament last year. 

Clare Bryar started playing water polo with the Chicago Park District before the age of 10 with the Chicago Park District, and has been on the McAuley team since she was a freshman. She also is a part of the swim team, Student Ambassadors and the Inscape yearbook and newspaper.

Brianna Gyrion plays an important part on the McAuley softball team - their second base player. The St. Christina alumna hopes to major in elementary education at William Penn next year. When not in her on-season with McAuley, she plays for the Sparks 18u gold team for which she plays middle infield.
