Oak Lawn Summer Basketball Camp: Where Hoop Dreams Turn to Realty

Oak Lawn boys basketball coach Jason Rhodes will be conducting a summer basketball camp for fourth- through ninth-graders from June 4-8.

Oak Lawn Community High School boys basketball coach Jason Rhodes will be running a boys basketball camp from Monday, June 4, through Friday, June 8, in the Spartan Gym at OLCHS.

There will be two sessions each day: Fourth- through sixth-graders will meet from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and seventh- through ninth-graders will meet from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Nationally known shooting instructor Jay Wolf will be on hand Tuesday, June 5, to conduct a shooting clinic. The shooting clinic is open to boys and girls.

Cost of the camp is $60 by May 15 or $65 after May 15. All campers receive a T-shirt, shooting strap, Star Shooter DVD and practice manual. Prizes and camp awards also will be distributed by Rhodes and his staff.

The Popeye's in Burbank has a hand sanitizer installed behind the counter, but honestly, the employees hardly ever use it, which is why, after a horrible experience at that location last July, I have not patronized ANY Popeye's since!!!
