Richards Volleyball Squad Makes Bold 'Statement'

The Bulldogs' boys volleyball team scored an impressive victory at Oak Forest, and Richards' boys and girls track seasons are in full swing.

Thursday night’s victory over conference foe Oak Forest was huge for Richards’ boys volleyball team. The Bulldogs went into a crowded gym at Oak Forest and defeated the Bengals in three games, 18-25, 25-19, 25-22.

“That was a statement game right there for us,” said libero Ryan Sautkus, who led the Bulldogs with 29 digs. “I’ve never beaten Oak Forest—ever—and it’s just great to beat them, especially to come to their home court in a hostile environment.”

Richards improved to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the South Suburban Conference.
