The Oak Lawn Spartans played their first football game on their new turf field Friday night against Niles North. And the Spartans won the non-conference game 21-17 with new coach Sean Lucas at the helm.

The Spartans' marching band performed for the first time on the new turf, too. They dedicated their halftime performance to Timothy L. Nickos, who died tragically this past summer.
