Sports Photo Gallery: Oak Lawn Unable to Muster an Offense

Spartans overmatched in recent 14-1 softball loss to rival Oak Forest.

From the outset, you could tell it wasn’t Oak Lawn’s day. Oak Forest had its first three batters reach base–and eventually score–on its way to a 14-1 softball victory over the visiting Spartans in an April 11 matchup of the two rivals.

Oak Lawn's Nicole Jurgensen was rocked for 12 runs in 3.2 innings pitched and was relieved by Mercedes Leon.

The Spartans scored their lone run in the second inning. Katie Sichelski hit a one-out double and scored when Oak Forest pitcher Emily Norton walked Kim Braasch with the bases loaded.
