Laurence Awards

On Friday, November 15, the St. Laurence school community gathered to honor the recipients of the three major awards that the school gives to those individuals who have furthered the mission of St. Laurence High School. In attendance were former recipients, family and friends of the new recipients, students, faculty and staff of St. Laurence. The awards assembly takes place during the week in which the feast of St. Laurence O’Toole occurs.

The Black and Gold Award honors those whose acumen, influence and generosity have furthered the mission of the school. This year’s recipient is Mr. William Eckhardt of the class of 1966. The Heart of St. Laurence Award is given to individuals who have contributed their time and talents to St. Laurence and its mission. This year’s recipient is Mr. William Novak, class of 1985 and current Fathers’ Club president. Finally, the Laurence Award honors individuals who – through their contributions, service, and spirit – have significantly enhanced both the St. Laurence Community and the good name of the school. This year, the Laurence Award was presented to Mr. Peter Lotus, class of 1994, Head of Coaching and Teaching, Division Dean of Sciences and Head Varsity Baseball Coach.
