'Spring Into Summer' With the Oak Lawn Chamber

Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward “We the People” exhibit and putting the finishing touches on the at the Oak Lawn-Patriot Metra Station.

The sixth annual Spring Into Summer fest features the traditional Pet Parade, Car Show, vendor fair, bands, food, loads of children’s activities and beverages of all types. There are some new twists this year, including a new location from the Children’s Museum on Museum Drive to Tulley.

The festival starts Friday night with a roof-top car show, live entertainment, food and beer on top of the Oak Lawn Metra Parking Garage.

Saturday steps off with the Oak Lawn Pet Parade with lineup starting at 9:30 a.m. at

Sunday rounds off with food and entertainment co-sponsored by Eva’s Bridals of Oak Lawn.

Here is the complete schedule:

  • Friday, June 15
    New Car Show Preview Party, 7 – 10 pm
    (Top floor of the Oak Lawn Commuter Parking Garage)
  • Rail Road Gin (live band)
  • Food, and Beer Garden.

 

  • Saturday, June 16
    6th Annual Pet Parade (9:30 a.m. line up at Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School, 5345 W. 99th St)
  • New Car Show – ALL DAY on top of the Metra Garage 
  • Vendor Fair, 10 am – 5 pm on Museum Drive and Metra Station.
  • Children’s Activities, 10 am to 2 pm
  • Sunday, June 17
    Music and Food, Noon to 5 pm - Museum Drive and the Metra Station.
    New Car Show, Noon to 5 pm - Top of the Metra Garage.
    1:30 p.m. Cake Eating Contest
    2:00 p.m. Band, Fort Awesome
