The cornerstone of this Goal Post Pub comes all the way from the original Goal Post Pub back in Galway, Ireland. In 1970, a few Irish immigrants came to Chicago and designed a pub on the back of a napkin during an all-night planning session. They decided to name their new pub after their favorite drinking spot back home. That same napkin is now proudly displayed behind the counter of the Goal Post Pub in Oak Lawn. The Goal Post Pub offers an array of beers, and live music fills the room with a variety of sounds every weekend. A private room is available for events.
