This is by far one of the best parks in the area. Its a beautiful area and ther are multiple options for fun, and depending on the time of day there's lots of other kids for your little one to play with.
This park features 2 seperate play areas. One has your traditional (but this one is really nice) play house/slide combo. Its small enough for a little toddler, about 2.5 years old, and big enough for an older sibling to chase the little one around. The other is more of a jungle gym, designed for older kids, probably 6 or 7 and up. Its a ton of fun!
The park is clean, but there are sometimes trash and the occasional beer bottle, but its a highly traveled park, so that's kind of expected.
Everything here is very new and safe and I really recommend taking your kid here!

I agree that this is one of the best parks in town, nice for young kids and parents, and the basket ball courts attract some older kids, too. Personally, I like walking along the lake and enjoying the waterfowl that always seem to be enjoying the lake. The park recently got better in another way too, since my favorite park district instructor has began teaching art classes and meditation classes in the brick building in the park! I recommend this park and those classes.
