This position involves legislative representation in the Illinois State House for Illinois' 36th District.

The seat is currently held by Rep. Kelly Burke (Evergreen Park-D) who was elected in 2010. Challenging Burke is Republican candidate Robert Shellstrom of Palos Park.

The 35th District includes all or portions of which includes Evergreen Park, Hometown, and parts of Oak Lawn, Chicago Ridge, Hickory Hills, Palos Hills as well as some of Chicago’s 18^th, 19^th and 21^st wards.
