The Oak Lawn Park District oversees more than 300 acres of parks and green space in Oak Lawn. Each neighborhood inMore Oak Lawn has its own green space, totaling 22 parks.

Each season, the park district sponsors hundreds of recreational and sports programs for youths, adults, and seniors. Its facilities include a public golf course, sports and fitness centers, and performing arts facilities, as well as playgrounds, pools, nature preserves, and walking paths.

The five-member park district board of commissioners meets on the second Monday of the month at 7pm at the Oak View Center, located at 4625 W. 110th Street.

Oak Lawn Park District Lawn Manor Park

Lawn Manor Park was added to the area park system in 1961 to accommodate a growing housing development. The park offersMore a playground, two baseball fields, two basketball courts, a soccer field, two tennis courts and a volleyball court. A paved path winds around the park, perfect for walking and jogging. Supervised teen bonfires take place in the summer.
Keeler Park

Oak Lawn Park District's Keeler Park offers a full array of playground equipment from slides and rocking dinosaurs toMore monkey bars and swings. Keeler is one of Oak Lawn's newer parks, established in 1997. It is located near Advocate Christ Hospital and Hope Children's Hospital. The park also features an athletic field for a game of touch football or soccer.
Brandt Park

Brandt Park is one of 22 parks in the Oak Lawn Park District system. Established in 1989, the park offers a children'sMore playground designed to spark every child's imagination, baseball and football fields, a basketball court and two tennis courts. 
David Johnston Building

Located adjacent to the Community Pavilion, the David Johnston Building is operated by the Oak Lawn Park District. TheMore building, also referred to as the Basement Teen Center, serves as a host to youth activities and programs throughout the year. The building is available for rental.
Oak Lawn Park District Oak View Center

The Oak View Community Center is located on a tree-filled campus on the east side of Oak Lawn. Its field houseMore contains many museum-quality nature displays of the area's early history, as well exhibits of sea creatures, animals, shells, rocks and minerals.

The center offers a diverse selection of programming, including art classes, fitness, recreation programs and pre-school classes.

The Oak Lawn Community Theater is also stationed at Oak View, staging four critically-acclaimed family musicals per year in a newly renovated gymnasium complete with stadium seating.

Rooms in the community center are available for rental for private parties. The center also has chairs and tables available for rentals. Room rentals range in price from $25-$59 per hour and can accommodate private parties of up to 200 people. 

The outdoor park grounds include a baseball field, picnic grounds, playground and a sand volleyball court. 

Residents can also register for park district programs at Oak View. 

Oak Lawn Park Dist Memorial Park

Memorial Park offers plenty of sports and recreational activities, from baseball to sand volleyball to swimming. TheMore park features a children's swimming pool with spraying frogs, a tire swing and a tube slide. A locker room is available for swimmers (bring your own lock) and there is a concession stand in the summer. A path winds around the park for joggers, walkers and cyclists, with plenty of shade trees. There is a fishing pond with a pier for fishing enthusiasts, and kids love the large playground. The park also hosts Oak Lawn's annual Memorial and Independence Day celebrations.

Oak Lawn Park Dist Centennial Park Pool

Centennial Park offers three outdoor community pools operated by the Oak Lawn Park District. The L-shaped pool featuresMore deep-water diving, a deep-water drop slide, a tunnel slide into shallow water and a baby pool. Centennial Park provides open swim, adult laps, swim lessons for youth and adults and special recreation programs. The pool is also available for party rentals. Lifeguards are available for safe, supervised swimming fun. A food concession stand is open in the afternoons.
