Burbank Police and federal agents searched a Chicago home last month which could be linked to an area double murder.
The investigation into an elderly Burbank couple found murdered in their home on March 6 is now focused on the male victim as a possible target, says a source close to the investigation. Peter Mountain, 79, who went by the nickname “Rocky,” and his long-time girlfriend, Sally Lopez, 80, were found shot and stabbed multiple times in their home in the 6400 block of West 83rd Place in Burbank. Mountain had also been bludgeoned, according to reports. Burbank Police believe the double murder to be an isolated incident with no threat to the immediate community. Police investigation continues on 5700 block of 83rd Place: "Chicago Police were pursuing a vehicle from an incident that took place in the City of Chicago. Chicago lost sight of the vehicle and shortly after that incident and Burbank Police received a call of a suspicious vehicle at 1:55 PM in the 5700 block of 83rd Place. The caller indicates that three subjects described two male blacks and one female black running from the vehicle. Four people were shot outside a home in Burbank early Thursday morning, Chicago Breaking News reported. An Oak Lawn Patch reader who went to the scene also shares her report.
Chicago Breaking News reported that four people were shot in the early morning hours outside a Burbank home on Thursday morning. The shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. Thursday at 85th Place and Narragansett Avenue and appears to be gang-related Burbank cops said. The FBI has joined an international manhunt for a missing bridegroom after his new wife was found slain in their Burbank apartment hours after they were married last weekend. A federal warrant charging Arnoldo Jiminez, 30, with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued Thursday in U.S. District Court in Chicago. Jiminez was charged earlier this week in Cook County Criminal Court with one count of first- degree murder for the stabbing death of his 26-year-old wife, Estrella Carrera.
