A guide to the April 2013 village board race with three challengers vying for Dist. 6 trustee, including Mike Carberry, Carol Sheahan and Joseph Sorrentino.

Joseph Sorrentino is running for his first term on the Oak Lawn Village Board.
Name: Joseph Sorrentino Position sought: Trustee District #6 Campaign contact information: Use as much space as you need: 1. What is the primary reason you are running for this office? Oak Lawn is a great place to live and raise a family. I love this community, believe I have made sincere contributions, have deep roots here and plan to continue long into the future. I have a proven track record of civil board …

Richards High School and graduated from Northern Illinois University. I received the sacraments at St. Catherine of Alexandria. My three children attend Kolmar Avenue School. I have yet to serve in public office but I have served my community and church: I’m teaching my children to serve and to invest their time where they live. My husband, Jim, understood my desire to stay in this tight-knit neighborhood with excellent schools, wonderful …
