As the defending Class 2A girls state volleyball champions, Chicago Christian often has its way with its opponents from the get-go. So, when Oak Lawn came into the Knights’ home gym and marched out to a 6-2 lead in the first game of Monday night's non-conference matchup, Chicago Christian's girls were a little shocked. Oak Lawn (1-1) played even with the Knights throughout the first game, and even had a game point at 25-24. But Chicago Christian came up with a quick sideout and won the next two points to take the first game 27-25.
