And as they consider the next big thing that will bring them ever-closer to the goal, coffee enters the picture. As coffee chains appeal more and more to the sugary palate of a vast majority of their patrons, coffee really isn't coffee any longer. It's a delicious confection of fats and sugars that make it not only appealing to the younger crowd, but a fashion statement that whispers "I am of age."
