Witness said men were flashing gang signs in middle of the street, holding what appeared to be handgun, police say.
A man who was dining at Hooter’s called police when he observed five men flashing gang signs and possibly a handgun around 5:35 p.m. Sept. 16, Oak Lawn police said. Dispatch advised that a man in a silver Dodge Charger was seen with what appeared to be a black handgun, reports said. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 A man was found armed with a stun gun and baton after he allegedly caused a disturbance inside of the Corner Bakery at 9621 S. Cicero Ave. Oak Lawn police responded to a report of a man arguing with another patron around 7 p.m. According to the report, the man took an object out of his backpack and placed in his back pocket, reports said. Police receive multiple complaints of eight male subjects flashing pitchfork signs to other juveniles at community festival, reports say.

Police said man has history of yelling obscenities and being obnoxious to neighbors while drinking alcohol.
Oak Lawn police responded to a disturbance call of a man using profanity and swinging a shovel in a parking lot around 5:30 p.m. Aug. 31, reports said. Two women face charges following a spree of disorderly behavior at Hooters, reports said. Oak Lawn police reported to a disturbance at 9139 S. Cicero Ave., around 11:50 p.m. Aug. 31. When they arrived at the restaurant, police said they were met by the manager and encountered two women yelling at another Hooters employee. SUNDAY, JULY 22 The owner of a Schnauzer-setter mix said his dog was attacked by a small white dog that ran out of the front door and attacked his dog on the 4800 block of West Lamb Drive around 7 p.m. Police said the dog had a puncture wound on his front leg. Police attempted to speak to the owner of the aggressor dog but the resident who answered the door did not speak English. The dog owner’s was identified but attempts to call her were unsuccessful. Police said the offending dog appeared to be a “small white retriever mix.” The dog did not have tags and the resident at the house was unable to produce vaccination records. THURSDAY JULY 12 A 70-year-old woman signed a battery complaint against an Oak Lawn man who police said hit her in the head with a cane, police said. The woman said she found a man identified as Donald G. Henry, 52, sleeping her garage on the 5700 block of West 89th Street. When she woke Henry up and told him to leave, police said he hit the woman on the side of the head with his cane. The officer noticed a red swollen bump on the woman’s head and called the Oak Lawn Fire Department. Henry allegedly told police that when he was leaving he lost his balance and accidentally hit the woman on the head with his cane. He was arrested and taken to the Oak Lawn Police Department. THURSDAY JUNE 28 Police responded to a disturbance call at the Discovery Zone, 6336 W. 95th St. around 9:06 p.m. An employee told police that a teenaged girl was inside the store trying on earrings while her father waited in the car. When the employee saw the girl put the earrings on her ears, she was told she could not try them on because of sanitary reasons, reports said. A middle-aged man recently strolled in an Oak Lawn tanning spa and performed a spin-filled, initially clothed dance during which he exposed himself to two women, police said.
