Pet owners in Oak Lawn now face new leash laws and the number of pets they are allowed to own.
Oak Lawn has changed its animal control ordiance placing new restrictions and stiffer penalities for those who neglect their animals or allow them to run loose. Residents are also limited to three dogs and/or cats combined per household. Those currently owning more than three dogs and cats will be grandfathered into the new changes, but owners may be asked by the village to produce a letter from their vet stating their animals are cared for and up to date on vaccinations. Do you think the changes are fair? Take the poll. READ THE STORY: Oak Lawn Pet Owners Face New Ordinances
