Protesters March Down 95th Street Over Alleged Racial Profiling

About two dozen marchers made their way down 95th Street Saturday afternoon.

Statement Issued Ahead of Planned Racial Profiling Protest on 95th Street

Evergreen Park Police have alerted residents about a protest against racial profiling that is planned to take place Saturday afternoon on 95th Street.

Pair Plead Not Guilty to 7-Eleven Robbery

Two Chicago men pleaded not guilty Thursday, Jan. 31 to the felony armed robbery of an Oak Lawn convenience store.

Two men are pleading not guilty to robbing an Oak Lawn 7-Eleven store in December. Clifton Hall Jr., 50, and Clifton B. Moore, 39, both of Chicago have both been charged with several felonies, including armed robbery, possession of a weapon by a felon and aggravated assault. Both men, represented by the same public defender, entered a plea of not guilty Thursday, Jan. 31 in Cook County Judge John J. Hynes' Bridgeview courtroom. Assistant State's Attorney Joy Nelson will be prosecuting the case. Hall and Moore are both in custody of the Cook County jail on $200,000 bond. Police said that Hall walked into the 7-Eleven store at 10441 S. Cicero Ave. in Oak Lawn around 2:29 p.m. Dec. 23 and pointed a gun at an employee and ordered him to open …

Evergreen Park Fugitives Nabbed in Oak Lawn, Cops Say

Police picked up two people wanted on warrants during separate incidents.

Two Evergreen Park fugitives were taken into police custody last month in two separate incidents. A Burbank man was a passenger in a car that was stopped by Oak Lawn police after the driver of the vehicle was stopped allegedly for speeding on the 4900 block of West 95th Street around 1:07 a.m. Dec. 23. Greenwood According to the police report, the driver was in a hurry to get home and told police he was not aware he was going 50mph in a 30mph speed zone. This story has been updated to reflect charges filed against two Chicago residents believed to be responsible for an armed robbery Sunday afternoon in Oak Lawn. A police chase that spanned Oak Lawn and Evergreen Park, ended when two men accused of robbing a convenience store crashed their car into a tree in the Beverly neighborhood. A Chicago man was charged with felony retail theft after police said he walked out of  the Jewel-Osco at 9424 S. Pulaski Ave. with a cart full of unbagged groceries, reports said. Police: Man Charged After Grabbing Purse from Elderly Woman's Hand

Plucky elderly woman able to get last four numbers of alleged robber's license plate; Evergreen Park police apprehend man on dead end street, Oak Lawn cops say.

Oak Lawn and Evergreen Park police apprehended a North Side man after he snatched a 73-year-old woman’s purse, reports said. Subscribe to the Oak Lawn Patch newsletter and breaking news alerts. Evergreen Park Police Help Nab Man At-Large

Evergreen Park Police assisted Chicago Police in searching for a subject in Wrightwood neighborhood.

Evergreen Park Police helped Chicago Police nab a wounded gunman in a nearby Chicago neighborhood on Wednesday evening. At about 10 p.m., Chicago Police responded to a disturbance on the 3100 block of West 84th Place. While attempting to talk to the man, police said he pointed a gun at a police officer, Chicago Police News Affairs said in a press statement. The officer fired his weapon at the man, wounding him. The man fled on foot, and Evergreen Park Police assisted in the search. Although the man continued to run, police found him in a yard about a block away from the shooting in the Wrightwood neighborhood. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center for medical treatment. According to police said that no officers were injured. …
