Police: New Lenox Woman Runs Over OL Cop Fleeing Coke Arrest

Woman refused to unlock her doors, ran over cop and got away during drug arrest, police said.

An arrest warrant was obtained for a former resident that eluded arrest during a pre-arranged cocaine sting, reports said. Oak Lawn police learned from a “confidential source” that Brittany Alyssa Rotto, 23, of the 700 block of Schoolgate Road, in New Lenox, had allegedly called to ask if he wanted to purchase two eight-balls of cocaine. Felony Charges for Chicago Woman Who Shoved Senior Into Window

Domestic disturbance leads to felony charges for 24-year-old woman who said she felt threatened; woman's mother also picked up on outstanding warrant, police say.

A 24-year-old woman was charged with aggravated battery of a senior citizen and her 43-year-old mom arrested on an outstanding warrant following a domestic disturbance, reports said. Police: Registered Sex Offender Lost and Found Again

Registered sex offender turns up at registered address after disappearing, cops say.

A convicted sex offender in violation of not registering with police was found at his Oak Lawn address after disappearing for several weeks, reports said. A 30-year-old man was charged with a felony for leaving the scene of an accident that left a pedestrian seriously injured, reports said. Man Deeply Regrets Firing Gun on New Year's Eve, Cops Say

  Oak Lawn police charged a man with felony reckless discharge of a firearm after a neighbor called 911 saying he had heard gunfire shortly after midnight on Jan. 1, reports said. Man Skedaddles After Stuffing Fishing Gear Down Shirt, Cops Say

Chicago man faces felony retail theft charges after police said he stole 50 items of fishing gear from a sporting goods store.

A Chicago man absconded with 50 items of fishing gear from a sporting goods store, reports said. Oak Lawn police responded to a call of a “suspicious subject” at Sports Authority, 9633 S. Cicero Ave. around 12:46 p.m. Dec. 12. Officers spoke to an employee who said he recognized a man from a previous retail theft and the he was not supposed to be in the store. A Chicago man was charged with felony retail theft after police said he walked out of  the Jewel-Osco at 9424 S. Pulaski Ave. with a cart full of unbagged groceries, reports said. Oak Lawn police solved a year-old residential burglary against an elderly couple by tracing DNA evidence on a flashlight that was dropped at the crime scene. Woman Pummels Elderly Neighbor With Wet Laundry, Cops Say

Police said woman got upset because neighbor "started doing laundry too early in the morning."

A squabble in a laundry room led to felony charges filed against a woman accused of grabbing and throwing wet laundry at her 88-year-old neighbor. Oak Lawn police reports, July 6.

FRIDAY JULY 6 The daughter of an elderly couple went to the Oak Lawn police station to discuss a problem about her parents’ neighbor on the 9700 block of South 50th Court. According to the report, the neighbor is placing mothballs under the fence into her parents’ yard. The daughter also believes that the neighbor placed dog feces on her parents’ driveway and sprayed an unknown substance on her tire. The neighbor wasn’t happy with previous complaints to the village inspector and Oak Lawn police about him storing items with a bad odor in has back yard.
