Oak Lawn selects Hamilton Partners to redevelop corner of 111th Street and Cicero Avenue. Construction of some shops to start in 2013.
The outdated shopping center at 111th Street and Cicero Avenue that was once the subject of a years-long court battle took a giant step closer to redevelopment. Oak Lawn trustees approved a memorandum of understanding between the village and the developer chosen to redevelop the 1976-era shopping center, during Tuesday’s board meeting. The memorandum is the first step toward a formal lease agreement with Itasca-based Hamilton Partners, a firm that specializes in investment, development and management of commercial properties. I'm ok with Trader Joe's but I think its over rated. Willing to give this Mariano's place a chance. From what i've read, they are new but are doing well in other locations. Main thing is that we get a business that can sustain itself there for the long term.   more ›
