Large Mob at Ford City Mall Results in Injuries and Arrests
A large mob of unruly teens resulted in two injuries and damage at Ford City Mall Saturday evening, according to reports.
Dozens of police units from Chicago and surrounding suburbs descended on Ford City Mall Saturday afternoon after a large group of unruly teens began to wreak havoc, according to reports. Around 4:45 p.m. police were called to the mall, 7601 S. Cicero Ave., after a group of "a group of older youths" entered the mall and began to cause a disturbance, according to the Chicago Tribune. The incident occurred shortly after a widely promoted appearance by the boy band Mindless Behavior. The Tribune reports that about 1,000 children and adults were at the mall for the appearance and that the chaos broke out around 45 minutes after the appearance ended.
